Welcome to the HIUG!
HIUG membership is free and open to all employees of healthcare organizations that are using Oracle Enterprise products (to include Oracle Enterprise/PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Oracle eBusiness Suite). If you are a vendor that is interested in becoming involved with the HIUG community, please go to the Vendor Welcome page for information on how your company can participate.
There is no formal membership application process and no membership fee; getting involved with the group is as easy as visiting HIUG's website ( www.hiug.org ) to learn about how you can take part in one of HIUG's events or activities:
- Annual HIUG Conference - The annual HIUG conference attracts more than 400 attendees who come together to talk about their experiences and learn from their colleagues. At the recently held 2009 conference there were over 45 presentations on topics ranging from Oracle product and release updates, implementation and project management strategies, to member organization success stories, and technology tools and techniques. Additionally, the conference offers a one day Executive Symposium open to senior management within our member organizations, as well as providing all of our HIUG members the opportunity to interact with vendors and Oracle Management, experts, and developers.
- Pillar Groups - Outside of the conference, much of HIUG's work is done by through the Pillar Groups. These groups, which are comprised of the five product lines: Human Capital Management (HCM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Financial Management (FM), Technology (TECH), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). It is through daily e-mails, monthly conference calls, and special events that the Pillar Groups show their stuff. Every day hundreds of exchanges occur on a variety of topics providing a repository of solutions, ideas and fixes.
- HIUG.Online - This website contains news, discussions, files, surveys, past conference presentations, and more from our member base. Join with our over 180 institutions and 3000+ members who are facing the same issues and challenges. Becoming part of the HIUG.Online is the quickest and easiest way to start getting involved with HIUG and to start taking advantage of the networking opportunities right away.
HIUG has this and much more to offer its members. There is no cost to become involved with the group and there is no formal membership application process. The HIUG is able to provide this extensive, invaluable service to its membership through the participation of its members at the annual Interact conferences and with the generous support of its vendor partners.
An unlimited number of representatives from each institution are permitted to take part in HIUG, regardless of what rank they hold or function they perform. Please feel free to pass this information along to any of your colleagues who are involved with your Oracle/PeopleSoft implementation and who may also benefit by taking part in these activities.
An all-volunteer group of users just like you created and continues to develop HIUG. We all welcome your participation and hope that you will choose to become an active contributor within the group.
