Important Announcement Regarding the HIUG Board

It is with mixed emotions that I announce Linda Helgerman’s resignation as President of the HIUG Board.
Linda has accepted a position with a new Healthcare organization that does not currently license Oracle products. Per the by-laws of the Healthcare Industry Users Group she can no longer serve on the HIUG Board nor participate as an active member of the HIUG.
Please join me in thanking Linda for her dedication to the HIUG members and HIUG Board. In the past eight years she has served the organization as Secretary, Event Chair, Vice President and President. Linda’s foresight and leadership have been key to our group’s growth and success. We are sad to see her depart and wish her nothing but the best in her future professional and personal endeavors.
Effective immediately the position of HIUG President has been conferred to me by the HIUG Board Pillar Chairs and Officers. Fulfilling the obligations of this role as capably as my predecessor will be a monumental task, but I am honored to have this opportunity and promise to work diligently to forward the organization’s objectives and serve its membership.
It is also my pleasure to announce that Bernadette Dorris has accepted the additional duties of the HIUG Vice President in addition to her current role as Treasurer of the HIUG Board.
