INTERACT 2020 UPDATE

Unfortunately, after careful consideration, the Conference Team and HIUG Board of Directors have decided to cancel the Interact 2020 Conference. This decision was not made lightly, but the health and safety of our attendees and vendor partners is always of the utmost importance.

We regret the loss of opportunities to inspire, innovate, and collaborate together, as well as any inconvenience this decision may cause you or your organization. We ask for your continued patience and cooperation during this unprecedented time as we work to finalize logistics. Detailed updates will be provided to you as soon as they are available.

Will we be getting a full refund of our sponsorship payment?

The HIUG Board is currently exploring alternate opportunities to still host Interact 2020 in some fashion. Detailed updates will be provided as soon as they are available. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these unchartered waters. Understand that it is still our mission to deliver the best possible opportunities for you to grow professionally during these unprecedented times.

What do we need to do regarding already completed team member registrations for Interact?

All refunds will be completed by May 31. Payment will be sent in the manner it was received. If your payment was made using a credit card, the refund will go back to that card. Please allow 3-5 days for the funds to appear in your account. If you paid via check, all checks will be sent via mail by May 31, 2020 to the address used for your registration.

What do we need to do regarding existing hotel reservations made for our team members?

HIUG would like to thank all of our presenters who volunteered to present at Interact 2020. We understand that there was mcuh time and effort spent on your part and we do not want your efforts to be lost. The board is currently exploring options in how to best bring these resources and knowledge to members. We'd like to hear from you! Please take a moment and share your thoughts.

What will happen to our vendor presentation abstracts that have been submitted?

All hotel reservations have now been cancelled and deposit refunds are being processed as quickly as possible. If you did not book through the Intearct Conference Housing Bureau, you will need to personally call the hotel to cancel. If you wish to keep your Phoenix reservation, please reach out to the hotel directly to re-book your reservation.

What other options are there for vendors to connect with the HIUG membership?

Please note that we are unable to provide refunds for travel expenses and it will be up to each individual to contact their travel providers. In terms of air travel, many airlines are now offering flight waivers for specific travel dates and destinations. We have prepared documentation to support your requests for refunds from travel agencies and airlines and will make them available for your use.
